The first ever two-day Social Sciences Expo of Asia was held at Pak-China Friendship Centre Islamabad on 24th and 25th February, 2016. The Expo was attended by a number of academicians, government officials, researchers, practitioners, corporate managers, entrepreneurs, research journal publishers and students. The Expo was aimed at educating masses about the growth prospects and impact of social sciences on society.
On the directions of respectable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Noor Jehan, University of Swabi, the faculty members of Departments of Social Sciences, University of Swabi, participated in the Social Sciences Expo 2016. The faculty members displayed their stalls to distribute brochures, pamphlets and other literature regarding the programs offered by Social Sciences Department at University of Swabi. The faculty members and the students of the University participated in various activities of the Expo including painting, scholar forums, workshops and culture pavilions etc.
The University of Swabi was awarded with ‘Social Sciences Award’ for its participation in the Expo to strengthen Social Sciences in Pakistan.
