The first Meeting of Board of Studies, Department of English was held on August 27th, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Committee Room of the University. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Alam, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, University of Swabi. The meeting was attended by Mr. Mujahid Shah, Head, Department of English, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Mr. Muhammad Javaid, Assistant Professor, English, Govt. Postgraduate College, Swabi, Mr. Sheheryar khan Assistant Professor, English, Govt. Post Graduate College Swabi, Ms. Sania Shah, Head, Department of English, University of Swabi, Mr. Abrar Ullah, Deputy Registrar, Academics, Mr. Hidayat Ullah, Head, Department of Agriculture, Mr. Khursheed Ahmad, Lecturer, Dept of English, Ms. Muniba Sharafat, Lecturer, Department of English, University of Swabi.
Ms. Sania Shah, Head, Department of English, University of Swabi, welcomed all the members of the board. Dean, Prof Mukhtar Alam shed light on the importance and functions of board of studies. All the members shared their opinion and gave their input.
The agenda items included consideration of scheme of studies, course outline, research thesis format and external examiners for BS and MA English for onward approval. The members of Board of Studies unanimously approved the agenda items with suggestions for minor amendments.
The Board appreciated the progress and efforts made by the Department of English, for the betterment of students and university. The meeting was concluded by the chair Prof Dr. Mukhtar Alam. He thanked all the participants for their time and input. Head, Department of English expressed her gratitude to the chair for his support and also thanked board.
