The first meeting of the Board of Studies of the Department of Geology was convened to discuss and approve the scheme of studies prepared by the department. The meeting was headed by the Dean, Faculty of Sciences Prof. Dr. Mukhtiar Alam and attended by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Tahir Shah Director NCEG, UoP (member), Dr. Fayyaz Ali Assistant professor, Department of Geology, UoP (member), Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Assistant Professor, Department of Geology, UoP (member), Mr. Lawangin Sheikh, Head of Department, Geology, UoS (member), Mr. Muhammad Awais Lecturer, Department of Geology, UoS (member), Dr. Saqib Ali Assistant Professor, Department of Geology, UoS (member), Mr. Muhammad Adnan Lecturer, Department of Agriculture, UoS (member), Dr. Abdur Rauf Assistant professor, Department of Geology, UoS, Dr. Hidayat ullah Assistant Professor, UoS, Mr. Abrar Ullah Deputy Registrar, UoS.
Dean of sciences opened the meeting by welcoming the members and informed them about the relevant issues. Head of Department, Geology offered his thanks to all the members and especially to those who came from the University of Peshawar. After this the agenda was placed before the members for their consideration and approval. The members took keen interest in every item of the agenda and offered valuable suggestions to improve it further. The members unanimously approved the agenda items with meager changes.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the Dean of sciences and all the members appreciated his consistent efforts in this regard.
