In a simple but impressive function, first brick laying ceremony of the new campus of the University of Swabi was inaugurated. The inauguration ceremony was performed by Prof. Dr. Noor Jehan, Vice Chancellor of the University of Swabi. Amongst the participants, besides senior faculties and Heads of Departments, notables and elites of the area attended the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion Prof. Dr. Noor Jehan highlighted the importance of advanced and quality education towards advancement of the area in all fields in general and the education sector in particular. Vice Chancellor has expressed satisfaction on achieving the earnest desire to have a sprawling campus for the University of Swabi at the environment-friendly and easily accessible location. She also gratefully louded the efforts and keen interest, of the provincial Govt. particularly the honorable chief minister and speaker provincial assembly for taking personal interest to make the splendid land of about 1400 kanals available and embarkment on its construction in the shortest time possible.
Concluding the ceremony, a collective pray was offered for early completion of the place of higher studies which could ensure to bring prosperity in the field of education to compete at par with the leading learning institutions, across the country. The Vice Chancellor has thanked the participants for being at the historical occasion.
