In a simple and impressive gathering land possession ceremony was held on March 11, 2015 at site of land measuring about 1401 Kls / acquired for construction of new campus of the University of Swabi. The grand ceremony being inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Noor Jehan, Vice Chancellor, University of Swabi was attended by Academic & Administration Staff members,beside owners of the land and a large number of elites of the area. The Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the provincial Govt. in making the acquiring of the land possible due to which it will prove a milestone towards advancements in the field of research & quality education to be imparted to the people of the area. Deputy Commission Swabi along-with heavy contingent of Police was present at the site to help facilitate the function in a peaceful atmosphere.
The Vice Chancellor highlighted the importance of quality of advance education at the very doorstep of the people of the area and stressed that opening of educational venues at each of every corner of the mother land heal guarantee peace & prosperity to be prevailed upon. She also appreciated the role of the people of the area to the noble & sacred cause of education. Concluding the ceremony the Vice Chancellor thanked the participants and conducted a collective prayer for the peace, prosperity for the country in general and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in particular.
