My research focus on residue management under tilling and no tilling system to determine its effect on soil properties, biology, aggregations, C sequestration, N balance in soil plant system and crop production across diverse topography. Exploring new management approaches to improve N use efficiency, soil fertility and nutrient cycles, soil organic matter, climate change mitigation and crop productivity. I am also assessing the integrated nutrient management approaches that may improve soil ecology and reduce greenhouse gasses emission. Advance biostatistics for designing field experiments, wheat breeding, crop modeling, remote sensing and their application in the field of agriculture are other sources of my interest. Beside these, I am also teaching courses on undergraduate and graduate level along with students counseling.
Contributed as co-breeder and agronomist in the development of wheat variety Shahkar CCRI-2013 approved by the Provincial Seed Council Govt. of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan for rain-fed areas through vide Notification No. SOA-II (AD) 7/(8)/2007/VOL-VII Dated Peshawar the 7th May, 2013.
