Rational Drug Discovery, Design, Development and Therapy, involving drug target optimization and drug-target interactions, and exploration of the synthetic and natural sources for novel potential drug molecules to fight against various organic and infectious diseases including, but not restricted to, HIV/AIDS and Dengue. Further, I got interest in investigation of products from medicinal plants for their pharmacological activities such as antiviral, antimicrobial, anti-cancer, antioxidant and toxicological effects. I have presented the results of our projects in several international conferences in different countries of the world including Sweden, Australia, USA, South Africa, Bangkok, etc. and the results have been published in international journals of high repute and impact.

Projects in PhD Studies:

  • SIDA (Swedish International Development Agency) Project

Studies on drug resistance, drug discovery, and drug therapy of HIV/AIDS, Dengue, and Japanese encephalitis virus Clinical Drug resistance studies of HIV/AIDS (in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Jarl Wikberg, Uppsala Univ. Sweden). participated in developing the HIV sequence-based web-server for analysis of HIV Drug resistance online. The server is available to clinicians and researchers at www.hivdrc.org.

  • Thai Research Fund (TRF) Project

Dengue and Japanese encephalitis drug target validation and drug design (in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Gerd Katzenmeier, Mahidol Univ. Bangkok). I was successful to develop methods for designing and assaying Dengue virus inhibitors.
