The UNIVERSITY OF SWABI, a Public Sector University, chartered by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, offers the following Faculty/Administrative positions on regular basis/ Tenure track system.

A. Administrative Positions:

Registrar * (BPS-20)

First division degree (16 years education) from an HEC recognized University/ DAI’s with 17 years’ relevant professional experience in a University / Government organization or Autonomous body in BPS-17 or its equivalent and above.

Treasurer* (BPS-20)

First division degree (16 years education) in Business Administration (with Specialization in Accounting/ Finance/ Commerce) from HEC recognized University/ DAI’s or Member PIPFA (FPA) with 17 years’ relevant professional experience in a University/ Government organization or an Autonomous body in BPS-17 or its equivalent and above.

Controller of Examinations* (BPS-20)

First division degree (16 years education) from an HEC recognized University/ DAI’s with 17 years’ teaching/ administrative experience in a University / Government organization or Autonomous body in BPS-17 or its equivalent and above.

Director ORIC (BPS-20)

PhD from HEC recognized University/ DAI’s with 13 years’ relevant experience of teaching or administration in a University/ Government organization or Autonomous body in BPS-17 or its equivalent and above. OR First division degree (18 years education) from HEC recognized University/ DAI’s with 15 years’ relevant experience of teaching or administration in a University/ Government organization or Autonomous body in BPS-17 or its equivalent and above. OR First division degree (16 years education) from HEC recognized University/ DAI’s with 17 years’ relevant experience of teaching or administration in a University/ Government organization or Autonomous body in BPS-17 or its equivalent and above.

Deputy Controller of Examinations (BPS-18)

First division degree (18 years education) or equivalent from an HEC recognized University/ DAI’s with 03 years’ teaching/ administrative experience, in a University/ Government organization or Autonomous body in BPS-17 or its equivalent and above. OR First division degree (16 years education) or equivalent from an HEC recognized University/ DAI’s with 05 years’ teaching/ administrative experience, in a University/ Government organization or Autonomous body in BPS-17 or its equivalent and above.

*Appointments on vacant posts at S.No 1, 2 & 3 shall be made as per provision of the Act.

15-years teaching / research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

Note: After 30th June 2015, at least 8 years Post Ph.D. level experience in an HEC recognized university or post- graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization will be required.

OR

10-years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

For appointment in TTS

Ph.D./Relevant terminal qualification from a recognized and reputable Institution in the relevant field with either 11-years post-Ph.D./Relevant terminal degree or minimum of 7-years of post-PhD experience with at least 12 years of experience prior to the PhD.

The experience to be counted is of teaching/ research in a recognized University or post – graduate institution or professional experience in relevant field in a national or international organization.

The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in internationally abstracted journals recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the Higher Education Commission.

Associate Professor(BPS-20) / TTS

Three in:

  1. Agriculture (one each in PBG, Agronomy and Entomology)

  2. Pharmacy

One each in:

  1. Geology

  2. Sociology

  3. Zoology

  4. LAW*

  5. English

Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution with 10-years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

Note: After 30th June 2015, at least 4-years Post-PhD level experience in an HEC recognized University or post- graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization will be required.

OR

5-years post-PhD teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

The applicant must have 10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years in the HEC recognized Journals.

For appointment in TTS

Ph.D./Relevant terminal qualification from a recognized and reputable Institution in the relevant field with either 6-years post-Ph.D./Relevant terminal degree or minimum of 4-years of post-PhD experience with at least 6 years of experience prior to the PhD.

The experience to be counted is to be of teaching/research in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

The applicant must have10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the past 5 years) in Internationally Abstracted Journals, recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the Higher Education Commission.

*ASSOCIATE PROFESSORS IN LAW

PhD in law or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized University / Institution. OR

L.L.M, J.D in Law or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized University / Institution.

with

10-Years teaching / research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

Note: After 30th June 2015, at least 4 years Post-PhD level experience in an HEC recognized University or post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

OR

5-years post-PhD teaching / research experience in an HEC recognized University or a Post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

12-years teaching / research experience (with at least 4-years’ experience after the post-terminal degree level) in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization

Assistant Professor(BPS-19) /TTS

Two in:

  1. Chemistry

One each in:

  1. Geology

  2. Economics

  3. Management Sciences

  4. LAW*

PhD. in the relevant field from HEC recognized University / Institution.

OR

Master’s degree (foreign) or M.Phil. (Pakistan) or equivalent degrees awarded after 18 years of education as determined by the HEC in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University /Institution with 4-years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

*Assistant Professor in LAW

  1. PhD in Law or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized University / Institutions. OR

  2. L.L.M, J.D or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized University / Institutions with 4-years teaching / research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

OR

  1. LLB degree (First Class) from an HEC recognized University / Institutions with 6-years teaching / research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

A Bank Draft in favour of Treasurer, the University of Swabi or online deposit to Account No. 0323-204588555United Bank Limited, Swabi Branch of Rs. 3,000/- for BPS-20-21 and Rs. 2000/- for positions in BPS-18-19. Original receipt of Bank Draft / Online Deposit (and one photocopy of the same) with attested photocopies of all DMCs, Degrees’, Certificates, Experience Certificates, CNIC, research papers and 2 recent passport size photograph must be attached with the Application Form.

  3. Professors and Associate Professors are also required to deposit Rs. 4500/- for evaluation of research publications / papers in addition to the fee for processing application form and also submit Four (04) sets of publications along with application form.

  4. CGPA less than 3.00/4.00 will be considered as Second division.

  5. The candidates having Foreign Degree / Certificate will provide Equivalency Certificate from HEC / IBCC, Islamabad before the closing date.

  6. The candidates serving in Government, Semi Government or Autonomous Institutions should route their applications through Proper Channel.

  7. Experience/ qualification gained after the last date of submission shall not be considered.

  8. The selected candidates will be governed by Rules / Regulations/statutes of the University of Swabi.

  9. Only eligible listed/shortlisted candidates will be called for Test / Interview.

  10. The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of position(s) depending upon the needs of its various Sections or not to fill any position.
