The University of Swabi is a Public Sector University, chartered by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The University offers the following Faculty/Administrative positions on regular basis/ Tenure track system.

Master’s Degree with 18 years teaching / administrative experience in a University in Lecturers Scale and above or 18 years Class-I service in administration under the Government / Autonomous / Semi-autonomous body.

Controller of Examinations* (BS-20)

 

Master’s Degree with 18 years’ service in the university in teaching or administration in Lecturer’s scale and above. Knowledge of conducting examinations in a senior position will be given preference.

Deputy Registrar  (BS-18)

First Class Master’s Degree/LL.B. with 06 years’ experience in Teaching/Administration in a University OR Second Class Master’s Degree/LL.B. with 10 years Teaching/Administration experience in BPS-16 or above in a University.

First Class Master’s Degree/LL.B. with 06 years Teaching/Administration/Examination experience in a University OR Second Class Master’s Degree with 10 years Teaching/Administration/Examination experience in grade-16 or above in a University.

1st Class (B-Grade) B.Sc. Engineering from HEC recognized University/Institutions OR B.Tech from HEC recognized University / Institutions with 02 years experience in the relevant field. OR DAE from the Board of Technical Education with 04 years’ experience in the relevant field.

PS to Vice Chancellor (BS-17)

Master's Degree/LL.B. with 5 years experience of stenographic/Secretarial/ Administrative work. OR Second Class Graduate with 10 years experience of stenographic/ Secretarial/ Administrative work.

Internal Auditor (BS-17)

First Class M.Com./MBA or equivalent qualification OR Second Class M.Com. /MBA / or equivalent qualification with 05 years experience in BPS-16 in the relevant field. OR Chartered Accountant / Cost and Management Accountant.

For appointment in TTS

PhD/ Equivalent terminal qualification from a recognized Institution in the relevant field with either11yearsofpostPhD/Equivalent terminal degree experience orMinimum of 7 years of post –PhD/Equivalent terminal degree experience with at least 12 years of experience prior to the PhD/ Equivalent terminal degree.
The experience to be counted is of teaching/ research in a recognized University or post – graduate institution or professional experience in relevant field in a national or international organization.

The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in internationally abstracted journals recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the Higher Education Commission.

PROFESSORS in (BS-21) (COMPUTER SCIENCE)

Ph.D. degree in relevant field, recognized by HEC in consultation with PEC with 15- Years teaching/ research experience with at least 08 years experience at the post-Ph.D level in an HEC recognized University or a Post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

OR

10-years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in last five years in HEC/PEC recognized journals

Condition of no 3rd division shall not be applicable in the qualification of appointment as lecturer in Universities or Degree Awarding Institutions provided that the candidate holds a higher degree viz. M.Phil. / PhD or equivalent degree with not more than one 3rd division in entire academic career.

Furthermore, the candidate with 2nd division in the Master’s Degree but holding higher degree i.e. M. Phil/PhD or equivalent degree with 18 years of education may be Considered.

Matric in at least 2nd division with a valid HTV/LTV license and having 5 years experience of driving heavy transport OR Literate with a valid HTV/LTV license and having 10 years experience of driving heavy transport.

Matriculate in at least 2nd division OR literate with 05 years relevant experience.

 

Terms & Conditions:

  1. Applicants should also apply through the online job portal of the university. This advertisement is also available on www.uoswabi.edu.pk. The applicants are also to visit the web page on regular basis for updates in the process.
  2. A Bank Draft in favour of Treasurer, the University of Swabi or online deposit to Account No. 0323-223082836, United Bank Limited, Swabi Branch of Rs. 3,000/- for BS-20-21, Rs. 1500/- for BS-18-19, and Rs. 1000 for rest of the positions. Original receipt of Bank Draft / Online Deposit (and one photocopy of the same) with attested photocopies of all DMCs, Degrees’, Certificates, Experience Certificates, CNIC, research papers and 2 recent passport size photograph must be attached with the Application Form.
  3. Professors and Associate Professors are also required to deposit Rs. 4500/- for evaluation of research publications / papers in addition to the fee for processing application form and also submit Four (04) sets of publications along with application form
  4. CGPA less than 3.00/4.00 will be considered as Second division.
  5. The candidates having Foreign Degree / Certificate will provide Equivalency Certificate from HEC / IBCC, Islamabad before the closing date.
  6. The candidates serving in Government, Semi Government or Autonomous Institutions should route their applications through Proper Channel.
  7. Experience/ qualification gained after the last date of submission shall not be considered. Experience certificate must be supported by pay slip of the last drawn pay.
  8. The selected candidates will be governed by Rules / Regulations/statutes of the University of Swabi.
  9. Only eligible listed/shortlisted candidates will be called for Test / Interview.
  10. The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of position(s) depending upon the needs of its various Sections or not to fill any position.
