Provost Message

University of Swabi imparts higher education to students from the length and breadth of the country with the aim of turning them to leaders equipped with wisdom and vision. The Provost’s office plays a vital role in insuring an environment conducive to achieving the goals of the university.

A brief description of some of the issues dealt with by the Provosts’ office, are  as follows:

1. Currently the university has one hostel each for boys & girls students respectively within the campus premises. Each of the hostels can accommodate around 200 students of far flung areas. Besides student hostels, the university also has a faculty hostel comprising of 12 rooms and some residential units for families. Students’ hostels admissions, students’ affairs and rooms and residential units’ allotment are dealt by the provost office.
2. Every possible effort is being made to facilitate the students, staff and faculty residing on the campus. The dwelling environment within the campus is very friendly and every resident feels at home.
3. In order to inculcate the habit of discipline among students, a University Discipline Committee (UDC) has been constituted where Provost contributes as a member and secretary. The UDC strives to maintain discipline within the campus in collaboration with the Proctorial board and management.
4. The Provost’s office is also deals with students’ scholarships i.e. merit and need based scholarships offered by the university and other organizations.
5. To provide academic exposure to the students, study tours and visits are also arranged to various institutions of the country.
6. The Provost’s office also monitors the cleanliness and sanitation in the university cafeteria to insure provision of quality food to the students, faculty and staff at affordable price.
7. The provost also chairs and contributes as a member in different committees constituted for the smooth running of the university.
